Let's remember Mid-Ohio was the place where Charlie Kmball celebrated his first win!

Livery watch for this weekend:
Scotty Mac is white/red.
VeeKay is back in fluorescent orange.
Growjohn is in black/green.
Jimothy is in a darker blue.
And for all the Huski talk recently - Ericsson is in a green Ridgeline car this week.
Let the rumo[u]rs of
Huski's imminent demise
start to flow forthwith!!!

I am definitely underindycared. So this is highly welcome. Although Mid Ohio is actually a track I do not especially care for. Hey-oh, way to go.

It's a perfectly fine track with lovely undulations for sports cars, but not particularly interesting for single seaters. Races are usually quite boring for ICS here. Looking forward to Toronto though...

I see Romain is already planning some off-track excursions.

Satoooooooooooooooff at turn one.

It was on the national schedule when I road raced shifters. Great for us but we're quite a bit smaller. We used the bus stop just before the Keyhole and they had to cone down the top as you go into Thunder Valley to slow us down. Where Sato just went off was kind of sketchy in a kart. The curb at pit out is a bit dicey.

He's gonna want to lower that nose a bit for an even cut.

If I had money, I think I might commission Grosjean to run that livery at Sonoma, just to be an a-hole.

May have to come to grips with that Ericsson could actually end up winning the championship

Did the team not warn him about cars behind? What an operational blunder.

Ericsson, Newgarden, and Power out after first round of qualifying
Posted 02 July 2022 - 19:18
"I know they're trying hard" says Newgarden with reference to Johnson and Calderon. Ouch!

Palou and Rossi out too. Perhaps a good day to have a bad day.

Top three: Pato, Scotty, Herta. Sounds like fireworks.

Normally I like Newgarden, but in that interview he couldn’t be more unlikable. Entitled, arrogant and condescending.
I saw the interview & I had no problems what he said in interview. Newgarden is intense & qualifying is important on this track because passing is very difficult.

Go Scotty go! Should be a cracking race with so many quick drivers out of position.
Can't blame Newgarden for being hacked off. If they're going to interview the drivers when the adrenalin is still high, then that's what you're going to get.

Does anyone know what time the race actually starts UK time? The reason I ask is that according to the Sky EPG, coverage starts at 17:30 on Sky Sports Action then from 18:30 onwards it is also being shown on Sky F1. If Sky Sports Action are just showing a load of build up before the race starts then I'll leave it on Sky F1 after the British Grand Prix has finished.
Thanks.

Was I the only 'Murican that couldn't watch qualy yesterday because Peacock screwed it up? And is continuing to screw it up, by saying "Replay Coming Soon"?

This race is going to have a lot to live up to after the solid 10/10 that was the British Grand Prix today.

What time are we expecting green flag?
Posted 03 July 2022 - 16:43
Well done Robert Wickens winning at Mosport there. Very wholesome.
