The Enginelabs website has a lot of very good engine tech stuff but more in the technical forum arena.
However this video of the SCAT crankshaft company making cranks has a lot of god old fashioned operator run machining as well as the modern CNC stuff.
I like the new stuff too but seeing craftsmen still machining by hand today is a pleasure too.

What is also amazing is that they are still located in Redondo Beach California despite all the vast increase in real estate prices etc!

Equity company possibly means less service and less part numbers. Which is sad. We have seen that with Crane and Edelbrock.
The 'normal' off the shelf [after a 3 month wait] forged Scat crank I own is a very nice piece. With the research I did they are better than many more expensive items. Ditto for the rods as well.
