The UK legal system has always moved at glacial speed.  And it is not helped by all the barristers being on strike and clogging up the courts with a backlog of cases.

I am sure Bernie will survive to stand trial.  Cockroaches are indestructible.

Bernie Ecclestone became a target because he didn't sufficiently denounce Putin. He did the opposite. And that's when you get in trouble in elite circles.

Ecclestone became a target because he’s had shady dealings over the years.  This is just the latest.  The bribery scandal was another and he was able to pay his way out of that.

Ecclestone is accused becaue he still lives in GB, (is he?) was better off moving to Monaco (perhaps he already is).

Utter bull. You obviously have no idea how the UK's Inland Revenue works. They will have been working for years to accumulate enough evidence to push through a court case. There's no way they could have reached this point in the time since the Ukraine invasion. Nor is there any history of investigating tax affairs based on political intervention; while Ecclestone is of no significance whatever to current governments.

Me too, but I'm sure he has homes in multiple places.

As I once heard summarised, "Bernie managed to sell F1 three times, but noboby knows how it was his to sell in the first place".

He appeared in court for the initial hearing, so he was in the UK then.
