I'm going with my sons to Spa this year. First time I've been there. Are there any restrictions on taking food and drink into the circuit?
No restrictions, other than no glass containers.

I dont know if you got General Admission tickets or Grandstand tickets. But if the first was to be the case, then I would strongly advise you to scout a spot to view the race on the friday or saturday and then queue in front of the gates on raceday before 7am. Chances are very slim that you will be able to take your preferred spot if you arrive any later than that. This has been my experience in 2017 and 2018. The last times I have been to Spa. I don't know as of late how this has been.
Before a certain Dutch guy got into Formula One, it didnt matter that much as there was space enough everywhere. But thats quite different nowadays

Thanks. It's GA, but I'm prepared for the early start to get a spot. Used to watch people getting to the gates early on a Sunday at Silverstone, smug knowing we could wait till later and amble down to our seats.

It was a great weekend. Spa really is a special track. You have to see Eau Rouge to really appreciate how steep it is. Everything went really smoothly, unlike some of the stuff that is coming out for other circuits. GA works well there, the surrounding hillsides giving great views. My god the camp sites were noisy though. We had techno music blasting out just about all night right next to our tent. Still sleep is for wimps. Would recommend a trip there for anyone, especially with the ticketing crap coming out of Silverstone.
