Best driver: Carlos Sainz hands down
Best team: Mercedes
Best overtake: Sainz on Perez
Worst moment: Leclerc's DNF
Best thing about the race: Seeing how fast that Ferrari car with those drivers can be
Worst thing about the race: The clowns on the Ferrari pit wall

And the race in a sentence: So close to being a nail biter, but fell short because of unlucky penalities and DNFs

Worst moment: Leclerc crashing out
Best thing about the race: It seems to be the last for the near future
Worst thing about the race: Track is no good for F1

And the race in a sentence: Hopefully next race will be better.

Best driver: Verstappen, Hamilton, Sainz and Alonso all impressed me.

Worst driver: Ocon for taking Tsunoda out. Gasly for throwing away a points finish with his failed overtake on Albon which then cost him 3 places and a bunch of time. And Leclerc as he says it was simply his error that cost him.

Best team: Red Bull I suppose.

Worst team: Ferrari, whoever does their stratgies needs to be fired. Taking so long deliberating what to do with Sainz, and once passed and free of Perez, they bring him in anyway. Other teams made it to the end on medium tyres having stopped during the safety car. Really poor decision making going on there.

Best overtake: Sainz on Perez

Worst overtake: Ocon on Tsunoda

Best moment: Perez and Russell battle although both tried to ruin it by wrongfully trying to get the Stewards involved.

Worst moment: Leclerc crash, disappointing for the championship. At this rate we’ll have to hope the Mercedes find those last couple tenths.

And the race in a sentence: One of the better Paul Ricard races, but once Leclerc binned the win was always Verstappens. 6/10

Gave it a 4

Best driver:                                   Sainz, Hamilton, Alonso. Max did what he needed to, not sure he would have beaten Ferrari.
Worst driver:                                 LeClerc, needlessly threw away the race
Best team:                                    Mercedes
Worst team:                                  Nobody really stood out
Best overtake:                              Nothing memorable
Worst overtake:                            Nothing memorable
Best moment:                                It ended
Worst moment:                             Charles binning it, made the contest null  & void for the win
Best thing about the race:            Hopefully the last race here.
Worst thing about the race:         Track gives me a headache with all the lines! I can normally tell were on the circuit a car is, here not a chance

And the race in a sentence:         Race never really got going, I had some paint looking for heat application

Generous 7? There was always something going on, but the win was settled very early.

I gave it an eight. Plenty of action. Winner was known with quite a few laps to go, however there were scraps everywhere. People a bit too spoilt with the last few seasons of racing.

There was a lot going on, but I didn’t feel like I need a dark room after this one. I give it a 7. It’s a basic F1 race. Some overtakes, some driving under pressure, crashing, pitstops, VSCs, hot weather, massive crowds. People got what they paid for.

A lot of drivers drove well so I can’t single anyone out.

Best drive: Sainz

Excellent drives (by age) : Alonso, Hamilton, Perez

Solid drive: Verstappen

Most gaping asshole: Russell

Runner-up: Ocon (Oh, quel con! )

Biggest f***-up: Leclerc (although I'm not certain that it was 100% his fault, and get the feeling that the Scuderia made him eat the entire meal of crow)

Runner-up: Ferrari lollipopper who released Sainz into a penalty

Third: Ferrari decision-makers re Sainz pitting

Yet another outing of unremitting verbal s***f***ery, moronic laughter, ignorance, and transparent attempts to mask the latter with statistics: David Croft

Get him off the air!

Lost interest after LeClerc went out. This year started well enough with some interesting races but its now descended into dreary predictability. The top 2 are miles ahead of Mercedes who are miles in front of everyone else who haven't a prayer of closing the gap.

Must be highly motivating knowing the best you're likely to do on a good day is 7th, 50 odd seconds behind the winner 23 times a year

I don’t think the race was bad, but the way it played out - Leclerc on pole, Leclerc leads, Leclerc has some kind of catastrophe, Verstappen clears off into the sunset - is becoming every bit as dreary as previous constantly repeating scenarios from F1 history, like Vettel opening a massive lead on the opening lap then driving to a delta, or Hamilton inevitably cleaning up when his opposition self-destructed, or Schumacher jumping Montoya’s Williams at the first stops then clearing off, or Mercedes emerging from a ‘difficult’ pre-season with an easy 1-2, or, or…you get the point.

Just, aarrghh.

Best driver - Sainz. He was absolutely f**ked over by the team doing something stupid, again.
Worst driver - because all this is relative and I have high expectations for him, Leclerc. World Championship winners just don’t do….that, not if they want to actually win the title.
Best team - Mercedes
Worst team - Ferrari
Best overtake - Sainz on Russell
Worst overtake - dunno.
Best moment - honestly, there was nothing really ‘feelgood’ anywhere today.
Worst moment - Leclerc crashing out, just F*** OFF. Not this again.
Best thing about this race - erm, dunno…nobody got injured, no serious accidents?
Worst thing about this race - this track is absolutely horrible, a nasty, tedious concrete jungle that offers nothing other than giving you a migraine from the helicopter shots.

The race in a sentence - objectively not terrible, there was always something going on, I just despise this circuit.

Best driver: Sainz
Worst driver: Didn't notice anybody being bad enough.
Best team: Red Bull
Worst team: Ferrari strategy team
Best overtake: Russell on Perez at the restart.
Worst overtake: Russell's attempt at passing Perez at the chicane.
Best moment: Double Merc podium.
Worst moment: Leclerc gift wrapping the championship.
Best thing about the race: A half decent race at Paul Ricard
Worst thing about the race: The Ferrari strategists and Sergio Perez both having a nap during the race.

And the race in a sentence:

Well, one driver of the top 2 finished behind both driver of top 3... can't say that the Merc is that bad in race.

The fact that so many people called his race boring and so few people mention Max in a positive manner, is actually a confirmation how dominating he is…a bit like Lauda and Fittipaldi in their best years (early 70’s). Not always on pole, not always leading on the first lap, not always in the camera’s view… But in the end always there. And then you got this reaction: ‘Him again?’

Enjoyed it. Organic in spite of the SC. Drivers really challenged with tyres and racecraft. Lots of good moments.

Stalemate in the midfield.

Scored a 7.

All his competition fell away this weekend. It was a solid drive and that was all that was needed.

It wasn't a horrible race (Leclerc crashing and the horrible TV direction took away from it), but I just can't bring myself to take this circuit seriously, it's horrible to watch.

At least the camera angles seemed somewhat better than last year.
