Lots of kids there. They really seemed into it as well, which is great.
I found this as well. Some sat behind me in the stand clearly knew a lot about the championship and the drivers - it was almost like having an extra set of commentators.

Awesome to hear!
I have a friend who was there with his girlfriend: she doesn't follow motorsports often, and this year he brought her to Silverstone F1 & London FE.
She enjoyed FE much more, he said.
The lights, the environment, the music, the less loud but more futuristic cars, the bonkers action.
FE might be more appealing for a casual audience?
Think the London event, as much as someone can dislike the track layout (i think that this year's tweaks to the layout were great for racing), can be considered a big success overall.
The Indoor section with all the grandstands makes for a very good atmosphere.
From what i've seen & heard on TV, never seen such a passionate crowd in FE, and the stands looked full even in quali!
Looking forward to see what Seoul can bring to the serie, the stadium section should be bonkers there.
Some grandstands videos i've found around

Meanwhile, Sam Bird fractured his hand in the race

Still not sure if he'll be able to take part of the race in Seoul.
Norman Nato is Jaguar's third driver

Blimey, how did he manage that?

Being there again (and my first time seeing a Gen2 live) did reinforce my belief that the car's sound is actually an asset in it's own unique way. They are actually quite loud in the grand scheme of things. Just not so loud that you have to wear ear defenders to listen safely, which I often think makes going to a race horribly inconvenient (especially for conversation and communication). I just think it's a nice sweet spot between having a presence and being comfortable to the naked ear. Yes, I know some people adore the sheer, brutal spectacle of extremely loud racing cars and that's fine.... but I easily prefer a pleasant tone over the raw volume and I refuse to believe that I am alone in that.
They also looked distinctly rapid and on-the-edge ragged in person, especially when compared to my Gen1 experiences... was sitting there wondering how crazy Gen3 was going to look given the coming weight drop and power hike.

I almost hope Bird does miss Seoul and then he has a get out clause as to why he didn’t keep his 100% win record up!

Maybe a nicer class of spectator! No smoke flares, no-one trying to look up her skirt....

Oh, that's my other gripe. Why is it called "ExCeL London"? I thought ExCeL = Exhibition Centre London. So is it Exhibition Centre London London?
I wouldn't be surprised if it was as simple as Excel London sounds better than Exce London

The event itself looks fun, but the layout on the other hand... It's one of the worst of the calendar. It looks too tight with Gen 2 already.

Next you'll be asking why the tube map says "Bakerloo", "Victoria", "Metropolitan", "Circle" etc but "Elizabeth Line". Aren't they all lines???
Or for that matter why they built a cable car over the Thames intended to offer scenic views when it has no sightlines into London.

I'm pretty comfortable in the idea that if the circuit here is ever going to match ExCel's ability to organise and promote an event, they're going to need to throw a hell of a lot of money at it to essentially build a full-on semi-permanent race track. The event itself looks fun, but the layout on the other hand... It's one of the worst of the calendar. It looks too tight with Gen 2 already.

Sebastien Buemi and Pascal Wehrlein had to be separated following an angry discussion at the end of Sunday’s London E-Prix after their battle for seventh place.
Witnesses saw the pair push each other and then square up to each other in the altercation

Doesn't surprise me from either side. Buemi has previous issues with his temper (that Montréal race cracks me up every time), but it's probably warranted on this occasion. From what I saw at Turns 1/2/3, Wehrlein was driving like a bit of an arse most of the race (again, not much of a surprise). He made a couple of... erm, interesting... defensive lines into Turn 1. On one lap (possibly the lap Mortara spun, I don't quite remember and I don't think it was caught on camera) Wehrlein straight up rammed Buemi into Turn 3.
