What happened to the rain that we were promised?  And the stadium was as sparsely peopled as yesterday.  Was that the only spectator area?  I didn't notice any other stands?

Congratulations to Vandoorne on a well-driven championship.  And now on to the Gen 3.

The one & only Dario Franchitti drove the Gen 2 around the track before the race!

Are Porsche livery trolls?

Whatever championship they go into (Ok, just WEC and FE) they seem to see what the most popular colours are and go with that.

Why oh why have they changed to black and electric blue??

It was a one-off livery to promote the launch of a Taycan-inspired special edition of Tag Heuer's new smart watch.

Unclear what livery they will turn up with on the Gen3 car, but I would expect a return to Porsche's corporate black, red and white.

If we're lucky they do something silly like paint it green and label it with different plant parts in a winking tribute to the 917 pig...

Interestingly, I did find that Jamsil Sports Complex is expected to receive a pretty major modernisation redevelopment from the current, mostly 1976-1984 built Olympic Park. Work is scheduled to start late next year or so through a number of phases. If so, the circuit's current layout looks unlikely to be retainable under current plans and would force a reconfiguration or relocation:

A reconfiguration to something faster, and more flowing like Mexico would be great.  Seoul is a great city to hold an event in, so it would be a shame to lose that city.

EDIT:  After looking at that redevelopment, it would be great for the area, possibly less so for Formula E, although you could probably do something pretty cool if the city council bought in and let people get creative.
