I have seen this clip. 9-1 was very obvious once they pulled the heads.

20 years before this, mid 70s,  there was 500hp+ n/a Clevelands. 12-1 with iron 4Vs and 8000rpm. Stock crank and rods. And the lousy Clevo oiling.

Currently I am building a canted valve 8'2" deck Windsor. 345ci. With CHI alloy heads. Cleveland canted valve style, better chambers but still in comparison simple and that should make in excess of 500 at the wheels.

A friend has a 377 Clevo with the smaller runner CHIs and that has 500 whp. At under 6500. And that is a flat tappet engine. I have seen the sheets and know the operator.
