Please can I seek assistance from the assembled wisdom in identifying the Ligier are members in these images, from the 1979 Italian GP? The first photos are cropped from a Paolo D'Alessio shot that I am using in the forthcoming Ickx book, and it would be nice to identify who is there. The second two photos are cropped from a different image at the same event in case they help. I really should know, but ....

Thanks in advance for your support!

Hmmm, i'm not convinced thats Ducarouge in the dark jumper, there's a picture of him with Depailler on Motorsport images from this race and his hair is different and he's wearing a different watch! I would post it if I knew how!

Pretty sure it's Michèle Dubosc in the pink dress in the first pic.

Now that is impressive work, Frank! Thank you.

if we can just identify the mechanics ....

Jacky is always very keen to acknowledge the importance of the people who designed and prepared his cars, so as far as possible I like to name them in the photo captions.

I think you may have to try it on Autodiva, Jon, they'll know.

I put a post on there around the same time as I did on TNF, John; as yet, no answers....

Not sure if this will be helpful, a small documentary about Ligier's mechanics one year later. The guy with the sneakers in the first photo could be the first mechanic interviewed in the film if we add the glasses (the interviewer calls him Maurice )...

When all else fails there is always fb from Eric Lauger, the chap with the unbuttoned shirt is 'Christian Boeuf alias Moustache he passed away in 2000 he was one of my closest friend 😪🙏' .

Can I leave you to get in touch with Eric on the Ligier team fb page, regarding the other team members Jon ?

Fabulous, thanks for that! I'll send him a message this morning. Really appreciate your support, as ever.

Thanks gentlemen. Éric Lauger has come up trumps! (and yes, one of them is Maurice Sartiaux).

I cant be of any help, but I just popped in to this thread and am amazed that TNF is still such a broad and committed community that could help one another with a question like this one. Much respect to the dedication of you all.

I can't add anything to improve on the answers already given to the original question, but here's a photo I took at Silverstone that seems to include several of the same people

There’s something so refreshing about pits, and crew, that don’t look surgically sterile.

Couldn't agree more! Simpler times...
