Have a feeling we might see Verstappen and Leclerc eliminated at turn 1 today. I'd almost rather start from the pitlane if I were them.
And hand away 5 places already?

Awful track limits abuse in the PSC this morning. So much so that the stewards are going to check them all after the race and apply penalties then…

It was bad yesterday in the qualifying. Many were fully cutting the first corner of the chicane. I just assumed they didn't care in the PSC.Awful track limits abuse in the PSC this morning. So much so that the stewards are going to check them all after the race and apply penalties then…

Weather at the track? Asking those physically on the ground, not some iffy weather forecast we can not trust anyway.

Thanks, but darn it, nothing personal but I want wet, dry, wettish, dry, pouring during 44 laps.

Said the same thing to my neighbor who's at Spa right now. He didn't look amused, might be because he brought his family to a cold, drenched and ultimately raceless Spa last year.

I think it's madness that Bottas set the slowest time yesterday in qualifying, but because his grid penalty was 20 places (which is such a redundant penalty on a 20 car grid) instead of a Back of the Grid, he gets to start in front of all the other penalized drivers, including the fastest one!
Also, the PU change for Tsunoda seems to be called by the Sky commentators immediately yesterday, wondering if Alpha Tauri might take one for the "team" and move 2 more drivers out of Max's way.
Maybe they trust Gasly more than Tsunoda at the start? 😂

I actually want a good, dry Spa race today. The cars look pretty awesome in the high-speed stuff this year.

With the pace he has he can avoid trouble hasn’t got to been done at the start.
Alonso was minding his business in 2018.

The cars follow so much closer this year, we really don't need rain to make good races. All the best ones actually came in hot, dry weather.

An announcement that Spa is saved for the 2023 calendar and 10 years onwards, would make for a perfect weekend to me. One can dream, cant he?

Agreed. A lot of the recent wet races haven't been too great, but probably because they don't let them actually race in challenging conditions.
Wet qualifying is still a spectacle though.

I expect Leclerc to start very agressively. He really needs to try and get ahead of Max whichever way he can, or he’s likely to drop further points which is something he can ill afford.
Then I expect Max to just let him through and overtake later, if he is really that much faster.
Max was really caotious in Hungary. I expect a similar start.

2023 confirmed today.
Sadly for me, at the expense of Kyalami getting a deal. Was the first time I learnt that the recent attempts to get a South African GP back were in place of Belgium.
What kind of world are we living in that the F1 championship has no place for both Spa and Kyalami, but Miami's car park with vinyl water exists?

Charles can learn from Max’s approach numerous times last season (and Lewis’ approach in Silverstone). If the opponent looks quicker and likely to win the race, and you’re going wheel to wheel, take a lot of risk knowing that an outcome of both crashing, with regards to the points table, is still better than the opponent who is set for a sure win.

Pretty poor from LH there .... fine margins ... but still poor.
