Great circuit and with a very few exception, what a great and lively audience.

I fully expect Sainz or Perez to screw up the start and knock someone out.

Schumacher-Tsunoda-Stroll in the middle of the grid might be quite spicy at the start.

am I the only one with the feeling that the two Ferrari drivers will spend the first few corners/laps fighting among themselves for positions and let Max get away?

Google 'Gilles Villeneuve, Zandvoort 1981'.

Fully expect it.

Wouldn't be surprised if they go all Grosjean/Magnussen.

Race in 15 minutes right? A bit late for a national anthem rendition? Seems they are cutting it close.

I was expecting a full EDM version of the anthem. That was surprisingly low-key.

I’m not a huge Max fan but hats off to how he has inspired his country. Silverstone always led the way for huge crowds and partisan support but Zandvoort seems to be setting new levels. Great to see and good for the sport.

I missed last years’ build up and race, so this is the first time I’ve seen the track since F1 came back. I’m sure it’s been something that they had to look long and hard at and I’m delighted that the track still retains the feel of the whole thing nestling among sand dunes. Fantastic to see the passion at the track, hoping for a good race!

Agreed. It's great to see F1 at a place like this. Some of the onboards almost feel like a club circuit. Great to see the fans so close to the action too, unlike the modern Tilkedromes.

No chance imo, straight 2 maybe 3 stop. I hope Merc go M-M-S. Ferrari attacking Max at the first stop will help.

We’ll see. Extending stints is Hamilton’s “thing” though. I wouldn’t put Russell on a 1 stop.

omg, you’re right, that is EXACTLY what it looks like, in a good way.

unrelated, Alonso’s ultra grumpy pose in the intro cracks me up every race. Runner up: Perez and the close up on his big, very serious looking face.

Now that Leclerc is out of title run, I would love to see Hamilton winning today. Would be interesting after all the noise we had last year and the beginning of the season! :)

Max will win this if there’s no dramatics. Mercs are goosed due to lower temperatures and I feel Ferrari don’t have race pace. Hamilton on mediums is a bad idea.

I really hope all of the top 6 get through lap 1 unscathed. It could be a great strategic race between three teams if so.

Of these on new tyres everyone on mediums, Verstappen, Stroll and all soft-runners outside top-10.
