For some bizarre reason, my son (25 yo) bought me a Lamborghini Countach Lego set when we were vacationing in August. The spouse then said something like how neat it was after I put it together. Upon which son raced out and bought a Ferrari 512 set for spouse. Which then grumblingly had to put it together to show appreciation even if there was no real interest.

But both models now grace a window sill in the living room here.

One Christmas my wife noted that she never got any Lego to play with. It started with the VW Van the next birthday and moved into the Creator city stuff for Christmas and now she has an entire bookcase full of buildings and people going about their day. She finds peace in being able to focus on just building Lego, and accomplishing something tangible. This is her downside from the 24/7/365 18-projects-at-once mode she spends the rest of the year in.

1) Full Monty assembling without looking at instructions.

2) Assembly line 1, into A, attach C, plug 3.

c) Pictures or it didn't happen.
