Yeah! It should be standing start.

As long as it's evenly wet, why not have a standing start?
By the way, one thing that I really like about the wet that it makes the likes of Copse, Eau Rouge, Blanchimont, 130R etc proper corners again instead of flat out kinks. Which is another reason why I would really like F1 to ditch some downforce, even if it means that cars become 3-4 seconds slower.

I have eyes on the Bathurst 1000 at the moment - which had the most mental first half of the race I can remember for some time

If they postpone the start with that weather, then F1 should just stop running wet races.

Feel free to expand on my somewhat brief OP.

I think you summarized it pretty well.

Well Lewis wanted to start on scrubbed tyres last weekend anyway so I think it was a deliberate choice to scrub them all in practice.Mercs have no inters left? What sort of madness was that?
Slob do must be licking his lips.

According to Pirelli they have 2 new sets left, whereas almost everyone else has 4.

I think if some practice sessions are declared wet, teams get extra sets as the weekend goes on. By the way, I think the scrubbed inters strategy only works in a drying track.

If the FIA start the race on time then it can only be because they read these forums and what to make me look like an idiot
In that case: Well played!

Why does it matter, that it rains little heavier now, that we do not get standing start? That is what they said on F1TV.

Aye, thatās the impression I got from the grid walk as well

Lots of our European friends perhaps thought it won't start on time and thus sleeping.
