It's wet- and getting wetter.

Post here for discussion of how the FIA are pussies for delaying the race start...

Hope it’s a standing start. FIA needs to stop intervening

As long as it's evenly wet, why not have a standing start?

By the way, one thing that I really like about the wet that it makes the likes of Copse, Eau Rouge, Blanchimont, 130R etc proper corners again instead of flat out kinks.  Which is another reason why I would really like F1 to ditch some downforce, even if it means that cars become 3-4 seconds slower.

Feel free to expand on my somewhat brief OP.

I have eyes on the Bathurst 1000 at the moment - which had the most mental first half of the race I can remember for some time

If they postpone the start with that weather, then F1 should just stop running wet races.

I think you summarized it pretty well.

Will just be embarrassing if they don't do a standing start. It's very comfortable inters conditions at the moment, so really should just start as normal

Mercs have no inters left? What sort of madness was that?

Alonso do must be licking his lips.

Well Lewis wanted to start on scrubbed tyres last weekend anyway so I think it was a deliberate choice to scrub them all in practice.

According to Pirelli they have 2 new sets left, whereas almost everyone else has 4.

Doesn't look bad. Too dry for full wets.

I think if some practice sessions are declared wet, teams get extra sets as the weekend goes on. By the way, I think the scrubbed inters strategy only works in a drying track.

If the FIA start the race on time then it can only be because they read these forums and what to make me look like an idiot

Seriously though, will be happy if they do go ahead as scheduled

Isola just on the F1TV gridwalk saying inters to wets race, though cars could make a race line better suited for inters.

Why does it matter, that it rains little heavier now, that we do not get standing start? That is what they said on F1TV.

I promised the wife that I’d be available for breakfast in precisely two hours. So things could get messy if race gets delayed.

Pit stop time loss in the dry in 2019 was 22.4-23.0s on average.
