But sometimes there’s heartwarming tales from the cold face that bring a smile to your face.
Plonk them in here.
To kick it off… from Alfa Sauber this morning.

When you read some of the drivel in these forums and then come to this page...
How heart-warming. Made my day!!
I'm a firm believer that we should sack all our "politicians" and elect school kids.

Well done Alfa, but the most important question that needs to be asked is was he faster than Valterri and Zhou?

Am I the only one cold hearted enough to think this could just be a publicity stunt to make Alfa look nice and it could just be an employees kid being shown around after someone in marketing came up with the idea.

It's the only bit of good publicity Alfa has got this year, so let's not begrudge them.
What would be really heart-warming is if a team did something like this and DIDN'T splash it all over social media. Of course, then we wouldn't know about it!

Oh hell no, I don't begrudge it at all, it says more about my cynicism than anything.

Now you come to mention it, it does seem odd that a kid from Japan would send euros to the team rather than yen.

No - but I didn’t want to spoil the mood in the thread.

Reminded me of this, although tinged with a huge heap of sadness.
