Four drivers from three teams make up the front two rows, but only one can win! The stage is set for an old-fashioned Ferrari-Red Bull-Mercedes battle.

The front of the midfield is made up of some unfamiliar faces, but there are lots of fast cars throughout the grid. A warm, gusty day is sure to test the drivers.

90 minutes until lights out - it's the 2022 US GP!

This has all the ingredients for a great race - don't forget the poll! :D

Hoping for a Lewis vs Max fight. Now that the WDC is decided, Lewis may win it.

Max to take the lead at the first corner with Lewis taking Carlos out. Checo and Lando on the podium

The most interesting part of this Grand Prix will be the existence of Martin Brundle between 13:30 - 14:00 local time.

Think this will be the race he’ll win if he wins any of the remaining races.

Aston Martin vs. Alfa Romeo for P6 in the WCC is the most interesting battle for me. Can Bottas hold on?

Pit stop time loss last year was 19.8–20.2s on average, ranging from hypothetical 18.6s to 21.8s.

I have a feeling Sainz will turn up today. He has been quick all weekend. Maybe not Verstappen-beatable come the flag, but quick.

Big question mark on Mercedes. Not sure the conditions will help them today. Really hope Hamilton can pull off some magic.

If the front three battle then I think Leclerc and Perez can get involved with a strong first stint and aggressive strategy.

Will be interesting to see if Stroll can hang on. Expecting Norris to get him early and control the chasing pack.

Reaallllly looking forward to this race.

Stroll wins due to some weird SC situation, and everyone will bitch that he doesn't deserve it.

Will there be any Patrick - Button skits today? Always sense tension between them.

I've just realised the race is in 45 minutes! Thought it was at the same time as qualifying yesterday. Result!

I thought it was Mario driving a Ferrari around the circuit when it was introduced. Boy was that a let down.

Every time I see Danica I'm surprised at how short she is. Yesterday I was surprised and was still surprised today.

She is really good as a pundit and would watch more Sky build up shows if she was on more often.

In more important news I had promised myself not to have a beer until the race thread was up.
