I have recently acquired this painting of Jochen Rindt in a Lotus 49
After a lot of cleaning the picture looks a lot brighter. It was painted by Peter WM Abrahams in 1971
I know about the driver and car, but does anyone know anything about the artist Peter WM Abrahams?
Was he a motoring artist, is he still around, anything else?

I'm not sure anyone copying that photo would have positioned the front wheels as shown on the painting.

Thanks for all the comments.
I had Googled the artist and came up with the same conclusion.
Good to see the real photo and agree it all went a bit odd around the front wheels.
Currently just getting a better frame made before moving it on.
Still looking for information about the artist if there is anything out there??
