Bit of a dick move by Hamilton, that.

I don't understand why stating a fact is being a dick.

What you all think of the track limits? Joylon Palmer suggested the whole F1 TV crew apparently had to visit the optician because they all saw constant track limits infringements at the last corner and the stewards saw 1... politics? Not spoil the last day in school?

Edit: and the slow driving, my god...Vettel had to swerve during his fast lap...

There were some shots were they highlighted the rear tire being over the white line, started rambling about track limits, while the front tire was clearly still on the line.

The fact that the white line continues as white blocks/areas in between the red areas of the curb didn't make it easy to spot the tires being on the line, or over the white line..

I thought Brundle mentioned that a couple times, especially with Max. Even when one tire was over, the front or the rear was still on track.

Because its a lack of respect for a fellow driver.

So for comparison; when I see an ugly person and I say to this person "you're ugly'. I'm no being a dick I'm just stating a fact

Not at all, that's just being offensive for the sake of it. Not comparable in the slightest.

You're just defending Hamilton no matter what, no offense, just stating a fact

I think it is the stewards that need the eye-check.  I saw almost every car exceed track limits at the final corner.

I saw a couple that were very close, but it did seem like a part of the tyre was always still hovering over the white line, which is enough.

Cannot be sure of course though and it was very borderline...

Bit of a dick move by Hamilton, that.

I still hear that as Hamilton saying that when a car can follow that closely, you know it's a fast car, rather than the fact that it was Perez driving that car tbh...

from Sergio
"Yeah, it certainly did [help]," Perez said of the tow from Verstappen. "I think we worked really well as a team today.

"And I could feel [the effect] – especially sector two it was working. What you gain you lose a bit in sector three, but generally I think certainly it was a positive thing."

so yeah

I didn't know that it had an effect at such a great distance. Interesting to know. Thanks for the quote.

The way that he put it across was clearly pretty disrespectful. You can still state facts and be a dick about it.

Hmm, I don't hear it as that. The way that Hamilton has that almost embarrassed grin while saying it.

What a waste of screen space talking about a benign clip...

So many things to talk about today yet some people always want to talk about Lewis

It's nothing to do with 'talking about Lewis' - I'd make the comment whoever it is. It's hard to make any comment about Lewis or Max on here these days without someone jumping to their defence and down your throat.

If you don't like the discussion, don't comment.

I shan't comment further on this puerile nonsense.

Does anyone know if there is a flap gap minimum dimension when the flap is closed?

Meh, I think it's fair game calling out someone for being an arse, but never mind. To the race thread!  :)

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so you wouldn't be stating a fact, just an opinion.

Can depend on the motive for bringing it up.

Mines with Vettel, I'd like to see him go out with a good result.

Hoping that Seb gets a good run today and doesn't get taken out early. I reckon Max wins by a country mile...

I saw a pic of Ross Brawn meeting with Seb (without a crowd) and handing over to him a small gift in Abu Dhabi.
Both retiring from the sport (for now at least).

Very nice gesture of him :)
