DeLaRosa replaced Heidfeld at Sauber for 2010, leaving Heidfeld out of a drive. Heidfeld, I think, was considered a cert for the Mercedes seat that then went to Schumacher instead late in the day. Then mid-way through 2010, DeLaRosa stepped back and was again replaced by Heidfeld, who was then himself replaced for 2011 by Perez, who in turn was replaced by DeLaRosa for the 2011 Canadian GP after getting injured at Monaco.

Heinz-Harald Frentzen replaced Felipe Massa at Sauber for 2003 then Massa replaced Frentzen at Sauber for 2004.
I totally forgot that Massa had a year out in 2003.

This does require a little bit of spin to make it work, but there is an example where it could be argued that two drivers each replaced each other twice.
On this thread I did previously site Alain Prost and Patrick Tambay. Prost replaced Tambay at McLaren for 1980 and then Tambay replaced Prost at Renault for 1984. For 1984 Renault had a completely new driver line up with Tambay and Derek Warwick replacing Prost and Eddie Cheever. Going by car numbers Tambay replaced Prost and Warwick Cheever, but if you can twist it to argue Tambay replaced Cheever you then get this double replacement scenario.
Cheever had previously replaced Tambay, taking Patrick's drive when he joined Ligier for 1982. Later in 1986, Tambay would injure his legs in an accident during the sunday morning warm up for the Canadian Grand Prix. Cheever would then stand in for Tambay at the next race in Detroit.

2015 - Vettel replaced Alonso at Ferrari
2023 - Alonso replaces Vettel at Aston Martin
Is there any other case in history that this weird thing happened? Not counting driver swaps like the Red Bull teams did

Brundle and Alliot McLaren 1994
Alliot subbed for Hakkinen while the Finn was sitting out his race ban.

You know the OP had a very specific idea in mind and now it seems it’s just everyone naming drivers who shared or swapped seats at some point.
I was starting to feel that way myself.
