Ken Block was killed in a snowmobiling accident near his ranch in Utah.

A legend.  Thoughts for his wife and three children.  It was nice to see his bonding with the oldest.

The Wasatch County Sheriff's Office posted to social media that Block was "riding a snowmobile on a steep slope when the snowmobile upended, landing on top of him. He was pronounced deceased at the scene." The Sheriff's Office also shared that Block was alone at the time, but had been riding with a group.

I can't seem to post pictures, if someone can do the Pikes Peak drift...

I don't have much to add. He brought cars and showdriving to YouTube, started rallying almost 40 years old. Did WRC, WRX, Hoonigan has been built up to a solid company within motorsport and cars. We needed more like him in motorsport and cars. Instead we've lost him too early.

I really loved his Ghamkana videos. That was such an inspiration. Incredible that this is second dire news I heard of a snow accident. The Avenger's Hawkeye (Jeremy Grenner) is also in critical condition because of a snow plowing accident.

@JensonButton

In shock at the passing of Ken Block.

Such a talent that did so much for our sport. He was a true visionary with his own unique style & infectious smile.
Our sport lost one of the best today but more importantly a great man.
Sending love & hugs to the Block family #ripKen.

I always thought he provided a cross over between car culture or lifestyle and motorsport like few others could. RIP.

Terrible news.  Brought some new eyes to rallying and motorsport in general. A proper entertainer.

Wow, coincidentally, yesterday I had been watching an old WRC onboard from a Wales Rally GB stage that is 2 mins away from here and Ken was driving.

RIP

His last tweet was yesterday where he spoke about his 16 yr old daughter buying an Audi Quattro, renovating it and getting it ready for action. He was going to post the video today of her taking it out for action the first time.

And the one before that was of him posting pictures of his snowmobile

Shattered about this, classy and understated out of the car, anything but in it

RIP the Hoonigan

Very sad; I assumed when I first heard of him that he would be arrogant, but he came across as being a really solid man and I greatly enjoyed his appearance on Top Gear scaring dear old May.  R.I.P.

What?

Not heard his name in quite some time, and first thought was I wondered if he'd been suffering from an illness I'd not heard about.

A very talented man, whose video brought pleasure to millions. RIP, sir.

Like probably most of us I associated him mostly with the Gymkhana, the Hoonigan Racing stuff, the YouTube videos, but it’s worth saying how successful he was over so many years in Rally America. He never won the title but he was winning rallies every single year and did a very decent job in both the WRC and in Rallycross as well. He was far from just being a showman, he was a proper top level rally driver too. With him and Jeremiah Green over the last couple of days, this has really sucked.

I will always have fond memories of his exploits in Rallycross all over the world. Cheers Ken and race on wherever you are. Love to all your family and friends.

A legend like Ken Block was never going to die in his sleep.

Such a skilled driver, businessman, and as Chris Harris said on IG earlier, a guy who changed the way cars were filmed forever.

RIP

Ken gave us all hours of entertainment, I'm really sad to see his time come to an end. Will never forget seeing his first gymkhana in my very early thirties. He's a four wheel legend.

Very sad news, he was incredible in some of those videos and you could tell he loved motorsports. Taken too early, rest in peace.

RIP Ken and prayers for your family and friends.

You brought a ton of fun to motorsport and your driving brought a smile to my face.
