I’d be looking for someone else for next season. Sergeant hasn’t made the cut.

Yeah, because no-one else has ever done that, in the history of ever. It's not like we haven't had a dozen qualifying sessions already this year where big name drivers lose their laps.
He wasn't slow, he was very fast. He's done enough. And maybe he wouldn't be pushing it over the lines if he had some assurance...

No we’ve just had a dozen qualifying sessions already where Logan has shown he’s not F1 material.

When was the last time a big name driver failed to get any legal laptime in for Q1 when their teammate was top 3? When's that happened? I would put money on NEVER!

Perez managed that in Q2 in Austria.

All the salt on Sargeant again. Tiresome..
Little tiresome that there is sugar on Sargeant as well.

And, yes, I doubt he gained a meaningful amount of tome by running wide.

After a season like that I'm saltier than the Dead Sea and anyone who doesn't understand that needs to learn more about sodium chloride.

Sargeant was looking pretty good there. He was 2 10ths behind Albon when he ran a little too wide. If it wasn’t for that, he would have been comfortably in Q2.

Sargeant really has found some speed in the last couple of races. And he has stopped crashing. Great to see that progress.
What I liked about his performance today was that he did not play it safe, but had the confidence to attack. I have no problem with young, inexperienced drivers making mistakes or crashing, that is all part of the sport. As long as they are fast and show improvement, all is good. I am quite impressed with Sargeant's mental fortitude and how he managed to turn his season around after those races where he constantly crashed.

Well, they hung on to seventh, and I'd have gladly taken seventh in March. I hope they can spend the money wisely, and I hope the team's second driver, whoever that is, can come close to matching Albon, because this seems to have been one of their biggest issues recently. Hard luck to Alpha Tauri; I think seventh could have been theirs if there'd been another race or two.

My fear is that even with an ok car next year, with a 1 car team ( maybe Logan can come back stronger next year) the Alfa, TR and Haas if taking their opportunities will beat them.
the only issue i have with Logan is there was not one race weekend where i went wow that was special. Piastri stacked up well with Norris in his rookie year.
So the question is who is the replacement not much out there. F2 rookies are not not better than a Logan second year. I always believe rookies need 2 years especially now with little testing.

7th is a dream after recent years. A dream.

Next year hopefully the upwards trajectory will continue, and Sargeant will improve further. I am cautiously optimistic.

7th with a one driver team against Alpha Tauri that was also a one driver team. Get a proper second driver and it won't be so close. Nice to see pace in the car regularly this year.

Perhaps ironically with this remark, had Logan not held Daniel up for several laps, Daniel would have overtaken Stroll and finished 10th, moving Alpha Tauri ahead. It's a shame that fight didn't get any airtime as I was keeping an eye on it with live timing and it looked quite a fun battle.

I don't know who does what, but good to see that there are more than a token female on the team picture.

Not sure if anyone has seen this, but would highly recommend this Alex Albon interview/podcast. Some of the best insight I've heard about what it's like to be a Formula 1 driver.

Blue are also drivers.
