In 1971 there were two Formula 2 races held in Sweden, a European Championship round at Mantorp Park early August and a non-championship race at Kinnekulle Ring a fortnight later with several Grand Prix drivers and other top drivers.  Here are some of my photos from the Kinnekulle race.

Carlos Reutemann (Brabham BT36).  The race was reported live to Argentina over telephone by a reporter standing on the roof of the timekeeper's tower.

BTW: The qualifying times which at the moment are still missing at OldRacingCars.com are at least partly readable here (Bilsport # 11/1971) (sample # 4 of 5).

I think they were rival banks, Raiffeisen stepping in after Lauda lost the support of the other thanks to his grandfather.

I don't think a BRM loan ever existed - Lauda negotiated payments in instalments, hoping to earn enough from his racing to pay off the first one, then to be enough of a star by the time of the second instalment that the whole thing could be forgotten, even getting paid to drive instead.

You will find the qualifying times for this (and "all" other Swedish races) here:  .www.svenskracing.se.  Select "Tävlingar" (=races) on the menu and then select year and race.

  (I hope the link works...)

Meanwhile I checked at home and found the results in Sheldon's Black Book. I wonder why Allen Brown does not have them available.

For historic and contemporary results of Swedish and partially other Nordic contries, this site is very much recommended indeed: https://www.svenskracing.se/

..it even has random race reports..
