Unfortunately due to time restraints I have not been able to identify which years, although an informed guess says they were Eastern Counties Motor Club meetings. Hopefully it will be of interest.

Do you have an entry list by any chance? Chuck Dietrich was with Elva in the UK FJ one of the seasons between '59 and '61. Sadly I was never able to talk to him about his archives, but I try to remember him when the opportunity arises.

Thanks. Really interesting. Was John Postlethwaite related to future F1 designer Harvey?
I was also able to run back to the 1960 table, which is where my old friend Chuck showed up, looks like he traveled to the UK and raced between the FJ support race for the British GP in mid-July and the middle of October. It looks like Elva ran 100's until the Oct 1 Silverstone event where the 200 debuts, with Chuck's best result for the year abroad, a P3 finish. He later had an Elva 300, which appears to have been a striking yet troubled low-line design (Mark Donohue also had a 300 which proved to be a challenging car to run). It must have been after this that he returned to Sandusky, Ohio and opened a VW franchise (which proved to be a useful base for his SCCA FB and FA race prep in later years).

(I've updated the busted links where possible.)
There were simply not enough of the 300 cars running at the top level in England to develop into a regular race winner.
Elva went bust circa 1960, started again in 1961 and continued with the habit of using leftovers e.g. 15" wheels rather than using state-of-the-art? Different tyres? Also drum brakes?
I have a photo of Dietrich in the 300 at Mosport if you would like? PM me.
