I thought the race was reasonably interesting, Hamilton and Alonso playing cat and mouse for 40 plus laps I thought was good.  There was also some interesting racing through the field, Norris drove well and Yuki defended excellently with a hobbled car and almost pinched 5th as the end with an electric 3rd start.  You have to worry though when Max can have a poor start and an off and still win at a canter.  As for turning F1 into a computer game, there is no need for all these re-starts.

As a sidenote, judging by the range of topics and responses to this race I think the 2023 season has properly begun now.

I gave it a five (the race itself and not the shenanigans with the red flags). One problem were the numerous DRS zones, it was too much.

Best Driver: Hard to pick this. Hamilton and Norris had excellent races?

Worst driver: Albon, Magnussen, both Alpines.

Best Team: Aston Martin, although I say that through gritted teeth.

Worst team: Alpine 😂

Best Overtake: Norris on Tsunoda.

Best Moment: Either McLaren overtaking someone.

Best Restart: Restart No.2, for comedic value.

Three Words to Describe the Race: Told you so.

I’m torn on how to rate it actually, as entertainment it was easily an 8- as a professional race, probably a 2. Good fun though.

It won't take long before it's suspended again.

Best Driver: Lando Norris was very impressive, barely put a foot wrong all race and battled hard to earn points for McLaren on merit.

Worst Driver: Valtteri Bottas was anonymous and outpaced by Zhou.

Best Team: Red Bull - another win for Verstappen and ultimately a decent recovery for Perez. Mercedes showed improved pace but Russell's DNF means I cannot award this to them.

Worst Team: Alpha Tauri continued to struggle (although I thought Tsunoda drove well considering his equipment).

Best Overtake: Norris on Hulkenberg, a genuine battle requiring good positioning from Norris in a car lacking straight line speed.

Best Moment: George Russell taking the lead at the start, meaning Verstappen had to fight to get back in front.

Worst Moment: Collision between the two Alpine drivers at the second restart - it directly led to a further delay in completing the race and the bizarre finish, in adding to robbing Gasly of a well deserved haul of points.

Best Restart: The first restart went okay, but doesn't have much competition. The second restart was pure carnage and third was just laughable.

Three Words To Describe This Race: Interminably long conclusion.

Rating the race purely on the action between the first start and Magnussen's accident, I would say it was at a similar level to the first couple of races and would probably give it about 5/10 or maybe 6/10 if I was being generous. However, I'm not in the mood to be generous after the farcical end to this race and I will deduct a point for the excessive use of red flags (I'm not entirely convinced either of the first two were necessary. I think the third one was necessary, but arose in no small part because of the decision to red flag the race in the first place) and another point for taking so long to complete the final laps of the grand prix in such unsatisfying fashion, leaving my score at 3/10.

Best Driver: Alonso and Hamilton seemed pretty faultless.
Best Team: Aston Martin, for the same reason.
Best Overtake: There were overtakes, but none got my blood flowing any faster.
Best Moment: Max securing the win. Really wanted to come up with something, but to me the entire race was pretty underwhelming. I truly love Australia, but the racing hardly ever is one for in the history books imho.
Best Restart: Best restart? Are we serious? There shouldn’t have been any… ;)
Three Words to Describe the Race: Race Control Farce.

Was the DRS overpowered? Perez and Max made it look like that but Lando vs Hulk showed that with more equal cars it did not look overpowered. Lando didn't even get the move done at the end of the DRS, just allowed him to set up a switch back and got it done into the next corner.

Best Driver: Verstappen, Norris, Hulk
Best Team: Red Bull
Best Overtake: All DRS nothing special
Best Moment: Hamilton making a fool of himself by whining about the track limits of Norris and losing his 7th place by getting a penalty for track limit violations himself.
Best Restart: the first
Three Words to Describe the Race: Drivers have no respect for track limits and the penalties should be harder. The race was entertaining till late in the evening.
