Michael Dunlop and Peter HIckman gave us a thriller with both breaking the 130mph mark

Looks like us Yanks will need to buy the stream.  Looking at previous broadcasters none of them list it.  I’ve bought the stream before and it’s a good value.  Not as cool as it would be to go glamping there for a week but it’ll do.

MavTV has started showing preview shows.

If you buy / have bought the stream, I suggest you use the pictures but not the audio, instead use the Manx Radio commentary which is more informative and the live timing ( both can be found via links on TT+ ). The Live timing is, well, live ! The radio commentary is a few seconds behind it and the pictures about 45 secs behind the radio. Bit tricky trying to synchronise things mentally though !!

Dunlop has had an amazing meeting this year, fantastic. I've really felt in recent years that Hickman and Harrison had become the undisputed top two so seeing Michael come out fighting like this is great. Reading his book a few years really made me appreciate and like him.

Such sad news about Torras Martinez though, would be great to get through the week without losing anyone but hey that debate will rage on endlessly.

That, I believe is what's known as raising the bar. Hicky's last lap of 136.358mph was utterly astounding

Two early leaders in Michael Dunlop and Mike Browne, both on Paton S1R's, went out with mechanicals leaving Peter Hickman to pick up the pieces. Really pleased to see TT stalwart Pierre Yves Bian pick up a podium to go with his NW200 success.

Such a shame for Mike Browne because he was absolutely aceing that.

The event is awesome, I think both Hickman and Dunlop are in great form, so it is difficult to say who will win. TT this year is brilliant.

Is the Senior still pretty much run-what-you-brung?

Not really now Bob though in real terms yes, there is no restriction in what is used. After Hicky's 136mph in the Superstock race, I fully expected him to use the Stocker in the Senior. He ultimately decided to run the Superbike and was joined in that by certainly the top five. I can't be sure if the Padgett's bikes were full Superbike spec or hybrids.

Really wanted Mickey to win it, but what can you do, not my motorsport weekend. Hickman deserves his success, a great rider. Overall, an excellent event with awesome racing on the most daring course in the world, very happy that even in our modern world, an event like TT continues. I also mourn the rider who was lost, but it was much better than last year in terms of fatal crashes. I hope for more road racing coverage this year, loved both this and NW 200

Here's an old calendar Alex though I think the only Irish race now going ahead is Armoy https://roadracingne...alendar-update/

Some years back a gent, should know name but getting old and stupid, ran a quasi-RC213V at the TT.

Is the new Honda RR1000 that much better or just a matter of money that the five cylinder bike never came back.

Bruce Anstey brought Padgetts RC213V to TT in '16 and '17 without real success. If anyone could have won on the bike, it would have been Bruce.
Strangely, Michael Rutter used his own RC213V which he first brought to TT in '19, again this year at both TT and the NW 200. Old tech now though Bob.

This is Michael Rutter's RC213V on Saturday. As you can see, it's demise was brought about by a rear puncture on lap 5. The video posted shows the moment the tyre blew, scroll forward to 5 minutes. Michael has said that associated costs run to around £1000 per lap.

Couple of seconds earlier and he'd have been on the apex of Ballascary when the tyre went 😳

He was at the apex. The Marshals on post had the scare of their lives, apparently, they were unable to comprehend how he'd muscled the thing to a halt.

A morsel of absolutely worthless information in that Hicky's 136+mph lap is the first, and remains the only, lap ever achieved in fewer than 1000 seconds. 996.
