Vandoornes placement doesn't seem as good, he lost out in T1 with not the great positioning after a good start,
and now he's just getting shuffled out down from 4th to 10th

Picture-in-picture replays yo, come on.
It's weird cause they were doing them a lot more earlier in the season

16.6s Günther on Evans in 3rd. Surreal.

Gunther, such a frustrating driver. Happy for the Maserati team though.

Great result for Nissan too. McLaren by contrast have gone backwards all year.

First official Maserati single seater win since Fangio's 1957 victory at the Nürburgring, apparently
Little more complicated than that if you want to dig into the details but that'll be the marketing line

That was an enjoyable race too, despite more energy limited it wasn't too extreme.
It must be a very complicated job for FE to decide on energy allowances and lap count to ensure overtaking and a tactical battle without going so far that people don't want to lead. They got it right this weekend for sure.
As noted, Edwards did a good job. If he wants the gig full time that's fine by me.

Agree. I think this weekend might have been experimental on this front and hopefully quite informative. It's a moving target which varies from circuit to circuit and hopefully they get good at pitching it just right.
Today was good.

Interesting that there seemed to be more people in the grandstands today compared to yesterday

That’s not a huge difference, despite the not insignificant reduction in energy allocation.

The reason why he lost those places is because he had a problem with the suspension due to contact with another driver.

Just managed to watch all the weekend's action, after spending 3 days in Misano getting sunburnt and watching Bautista trashing the field in Superbike!
One of the cleanest, most straightforward & enjoyable weekends of the season so far to my eyes.
Jakarta track delivered once again a set of very good races, with a clear picture of the fastest drivers on track, good battles all around the field and a not exaggerated energy-saving racing dynamic.
Great weekend for Max Gunther who gets redemption after a very though start of the season, and the first ever victory for Maserati in Formula E!
Wehrlein comes back at the top as well with an outstanding pefromance in Race 1 and a solid effort in Race 2.
Dennis grabs two podiums to climb back up to P2 in the overall.
Evans not far off, despite being punted by Sam Bird AGAIN. That's unaccettable from the brit, and if i were Jaguar's team boss, i'd have a big talk with him about his future, and probably would prevent any on-track battle between these two in the final races of the season.
Big loser of the weeknd is Cassidy, who only gets a minor point finish in Race 1 and 0 points in race 2, with a rookie mistake that i wasn't expecting by him.
Another talking point is: what's happening to Mahindra? From getting the first Gen 3 pole in Mexico to these kind of performances at the very back of the field.
Talking about the new voice of Formula E, Ben Edwards: i like him very much!
It's a different style from Jack Nicholls, obviously, but he definetely brings something unique, and there's a good dynamic between him and Karun Chandock.
So...i think all positives coming out from Jakarta, for a Gen 3 debut season that could really become a classic in the final 3 races.
3 races: Portland, Rome, London, and 3 realistic championship contenders, with Wehrlein, Dennis, Cassidy (and i'd put Evans in there too).
Bring it on the final part of the season!
Portland, next stop. Could be a classic race in what's maybe the very first traditional track that Formula E is going to tackle on.

How did you get at 59 resp 64 starts? I have it 62 (63 entries; didn't make the start once because of a crash) resp 66.
But yeah, an interesting, cool stat. And not surprising at the same time. Reaffirming their image.

Honestly, I just pulled the figures from the List of Formula E Driver Records page on Wikipedia. Entirely possible that they're not perfectly accurate/up to date, plus I misinterpreted entries as starts.
