OK - it wasnt me - it was the maker of this youtube travel vid .... which I think you will find interesting.
Mods - I am sure there is a thread out there that this fits into - something on F1 travel, maybe? ... but I cant find it. If you can, please do merge this thread into that more appropriate one.
And on another note - this is about a trip to Bahrain .... I remember my first ever thread on this forum was complaining in 2009 or 2010 that Bahrain owned a big stake in Mclaren, my favourite team, because of the brutality of their govt to opposition movements (which at that time was pretty much most of the rest of the country) .... and I can remember 2011 when there was the uprising - I was so disappointed with the reaction here to the very violent crackdown on the peaceful demonstrations and other acts of repression against the opposition by the Bahraini Govt .... and I have semi boycotted everything to do with Bahrain since ... but peace seems to be breaking out in the Middle East .... and if the people there want to reconcile with each other then I have to support them (rather than keep up the grudge which they are willing to let go of .... as I like to say - you cant be more royalist than the king!) .... so I am happy to now post a positive OP on the Bahrain GP and to suggest to you all that this may be worth your time - and even you money (to attend).

And no - I am not being paid to make this post ... what a ridiculous suggestion. .... As at today this vid has over 800k views ... I dont think the maker needs to pay random people on forums to promote it.... I think the youtube algorithm is already taking care of that.
