Also note that Yuki often reacts or communicates with no filter (Gasly mentioned it in an interview), a bit like Steiner does at Haas. Speaking with no filter (or not realising the impact of doing that) could be an indication of a form of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

I'm not saying that they (Yuki, Günther) have autism, I'm not in the position at all to judge that since I don't even know them face to face, but it may be an explanation that's plausible.

One could also say that people who communicatie with no or little filter are more honest in what they say.

I am a Millennial and quite sick of people trying to find pathological excuses for people just being a-holes.

Steiner is a flat-out a-hole. Worse, he knows he is, and does not care.

Frankly, I don't care for drivers who shout and scream and carry on like pork chops at their race engineers. A surprising number of "popular" drivers are on that list.

He doesn't have the commitment to be on the top team in the world. He might do better than ppl think though. I want to see someone challenge Max.

I think Alonso is X.

He falls just within the millenials. So the point is, they're often older than you think.

Wow Alonso is a millennial…. Now I feel old.

To be fair to Yuki I kind of feel like the coverage here in the UK doesn’t seem to spend much time on him or Zhou Guanyu. Maybe it’s a European bias thing…. So it’s difficult to get the full picture of them as racers… I mean they’re head and shoulders above the likes of Mazepin and Latifi. All I really know of Yuki are his outbursts on the team radio and it’s not exactly painting a great picture of him but I guess that’s the point.

But then again I’m not watching as closely as I used to.

Yuki was fast last year in a poor car, comparing well alongside Gasly - who, when he settles down a bit us at least a match for Ocon.

Yuki was super fast in f2, had a tough first season, before settling down well last year - and this year he’s been genuinely strong. Outside of the top 4 teams he has been one of the next cars up, with genuine pace against the Alpine last time out.

He’s comfortably outperforming De Vries - his performances are so strong he could be ending Nyck’s f1 career early.

Zhou for me is now looking far more potent than Bottas - and that definitely isn’t getting the correct level of coverage.

I dont think commitment is an issue, what do you base that on? He seems very committed to me. Perhaps not the talent( we dont know yet, i rate him above just average)..

Where do you disagree and why?

Everywhere and because its based just on your perception of dts footage (which we all know does not reflect reality). Everyone in the pitlane seems fond of Yuki. Just watch the drivers when the refer to him. Its always with affection and fun

As do his fellow team members and Tost, and importantly Marko who being someone with a reputation for being so cutthroat seems to likely Yuki.

Who Tsunoda is in the cockpit is not the same as who he is out of the cockpit - something that is true for most racing drivers I may add.

Yuki to Aston then?

No, besides Tsunoda does not fit the profile at all that Stroll Sr. / Aston Martin want when the time comes to replace Alonso.

And again: Honda becoming the eninge partner of Aston Martin in 2026 has no influence on the drivers line-up. Stroll Senior decides that.

I can see Alonso recomending his campatriot Carlos Sainz Jr. to Stroll Sr (just like he did when he left McLaren) when he stops in F1. Sainz will only move if Ferrari does not extend him off course. Drivers rarely leave Ferrari themselves, if they leave it's because Ferrari doesn't want to keem them.
