Can anyone guide me to a worthwhile French past-racing forum, similar to TNF if there is such an animal? I need to seek some advice...

Thank you for that link - one of the top-topics seems to be about Hotel de France - we´ve just stayed there for two nights, so very interesting to see that.
Now only thing to do is to improve my French.......

I have no idea if this one is any use, as I didn't get as far as signing up for it. There's a general racing forum:
https://www.forumact...ses-automobiles
And a sub-forum: "forum des passionnés d'automobiles sportives d'hier et d'aujourd'hui"
https://team-langona...actif.org/login
Whether they could meet your need to find out the length of baguette eaten by Victor Rigal after retiring from the 1908 GP, I do not know.

I think Autodiva is the sole forum that can be compared to TNF.

I think Autodiva is the sole forum that can be compared to TNF.
EVEN From my rather limited experience with it, I tend to agree with that thought.

There is another site-- Cardisiac Sport Auto covering lots of French stuff but also has a historic forum. It's fairly good, but I agree with others that Autodiva is the best one.

Oh yes - absolutely right.
(Incidentally, M. Rigal's consolatory baguette escaped uneaten since his Clément-Bayard survived the '08 Grand Prix to finish a respectable fourth just under 35 minutes behind the winner - one team member assuring me back in the '50s that "...Gordon Blue done the team cookin' that night" - although this bit might be untrue).
