Sorry admins, but I need to get this off my chest.

2021 came off the back of year's of dominance. You don't get 2021 without prior dominance. David Vs Goliath. The King Vs the the Usurper.

This is the fundamental misunderstanding about F1 from those who see things in yearly isolation.

It's not about the specifics of 2021, you can take, 94, 97, 2008, 2012, 2014, 21 that was just an example. Close title battles are better for the sport than total dominance, it's just basic stuff mate

Anyway, this is boring.

Then perez has to go. As merc and mclaren have a better shot at the constructors even maybe Ferrari if they can sort the car.

AND...Have you seen how kind and attentive he is toward the kids he meets ?

I’ve heard from three sources (who meet and work with him about three or four times per year) that Max is very friendly with everyone but especially kids and that his entourage is horrible towards anyone outside of the entourage. Take from it what you will. Btw: all the great sportsmen and women I’ve met in my life, were incredibly sweet with children, even when they were generally assholes in most circumstances. I’ve seen John McEnroe at the height of his fame (and the height of his tantrumness) almost bend over to please kids he met for foto-opps. (I wish I still had the photographs I took that day, but it was the pre-digital era.)

Off topic but we are already seeing some first signs of potential explosive environments between team mates at Merc and Mclaren.  I can see that getting worse if fighting for wins/wdc.  Potentially that could backfire on the constructors.

If I was Horner I’d capitalise on the intra team politics at my biggest rivals and double down on hoovering up titles with Max, either retain Checo or bring in Ricciardo, Lawson, Hulk, Bottas, someone who’ll play 2 happily. Make a proper assault on all the records.

If I was Liberty Media/FIA I’d ask Red Bull to sell AT to Michael Andretti and hire a challenger or threaten to spin the regulatory wheel of the dice early.

If I was Toto/Fred I’d hire some new aero people.

If I was Zak I’d offer extensions to all.

If I was DTS I’d start following WEC for a year or two.

P.S - most likely I’ll be adding a fourth congratulations to this post next year.
