Glad to see Alesi get a point. Seems like an ill timed moved for Pros to stop with a handful of laps left. Lost a point.

Watch Jos pitstop, and what happens there, that should give you a clueOriginally posted by Ricardo F1
What? Jos made two stops - why the hell else do you think he came 8th???

Possibly because he's pulled another gap on DC in the WDC?Originally posted by Louis Mr. F1
but why is Schumacher so excited after the race? afterall, it's just a walk in the park for him.

I pretend to be blind and have not seen how the best driver of the year 2001 wasn't able to pass a Bernoldi in an Arrows.Originally posted by Max Torque
Special mention goes to David Coulthard though for proving once again he is certainly the BEST driver of 2001. Anyone not seeing this is simply blind.

He made a few friends at McLaren.Originally posted by Max Torque
Finally, a BIG congratulations to Bernoldi. His achievement was remarkable. But although I am sure he achieved something great, I simply can't remember what that was exactly.

David's car was loaded with fuel right up to the airbox. Bernoldi's car was lighter, and in addition to that the Arrows have proven countless times that they are INCREDIBLY hard to overtake because they are very fast on the straights (and slow where you cannot overtake anyway...).Originally posted by HP

Alesi hit the barrier with two wheels. He probably had some kind of tyre-related trouble (puncture or whatever), they only exchanged the wheels and did not refuel.and Chris G said:
Why did Alesi come in for those tires at the end???? Couldn't he make it just a few more laps!!

Norbert Haug just said that it was a "software problem". Hm, is David "software" or "hardware" ? :-) Anyway, I guess McLaren better have a good look at their LC again.Originally posted by arcwulf7
Comments of one of the McLaren engineers on DC's stall on the grid (paraphrased)
Q. Do you know it was a technical problem or driver's error?
A. Yes, we know!
Q. Can you tell us?
A. No!!
that sounds to me the sort of answer you give when it was one of the 'human systems interface' problems.;)
