I really want to make it to one of these races next year, especially with the Valkyrie coming in.

Interesting outcome of the season with a number of teams with something to celebrate:
Penske-Porsche delivering the drivers champions
Toyora being the manufacturers champion
but......
Anny of the champions above wanting to trade their prize for the Le Mans victory that went to a Ferrari trio ????
Everyday of the week and twice on Sundays.

Yeah. 2025 with Alpine and BMW maybe also on regular podium pace (maybe even Caddy too if Jota don’t inherit the curse)
You mean Bamber may not be part of the program?

What a fantastic championship WEC is.
We had 8 great races (well Qatar was whatever but still acceptable), multiple manufacturers winning races and at the end of the season a final race that was CINEMA.
Ferrari won Le Mans
Toyota won the Manufacturer WC
Porsche won the Drivers WC

We're in a Golden Age and we know it. I remember reading about the 3l-5l years (1968-71) in my childhood and dreaming about something like this. I got something good from 1982-90, but then it ended. I never thought I'd get it again in my lifetime

At least Silver. But yeah, this is otherworldly and long may it last.

Wasn’t 2012ish - 2017 a golden age ?
Not like this.

Now, I want to see Kubica back in a top seat next year.
Odds on Daniel Ricciardo landing up at Cadillac next season? Just a hunch

For me this is the best championship out of all top line motorsport. Really feel WEC has such an incredible product here. Would love more races but what a brilliant era.

I must admit that from a technical point of view I prefer the 2012-2017 cars.
How about a little 2 liter V4 being a decent option for a PU of a Le Mans winning car!
I am less into all those 4 liter and larger than that engines.
Must admit however that as far as competition and popularity with constructors to be part of this championship, the current situation is much better than it was between 12-17 which effectively was a three-way battle while we had 7 different constructors in the first 7 places today. No denying that the current situation is indeed better than 12-17.
Still I feel sad that by now we have lost Glickenhaus and Isotta. Both these teams have done more for for the championship as it is right now than they get credit for.

But following post-race scrutineering, it was determined by the stewards that the No. 51 car had used 28 tires over the course of qualifying and the race, two more than the 26 permitted by the regulations.
Promotes the 93 Peugeot to the podium. They'll take that. Very sloppy from Ferrari. Giovinazzi had his best weekend of the season otherwise. A shame.

It changes the points tally. Toyota only wins the championship by two points.

Can you imagine Toyota losing the championship because Ferrari made a mistake?

I'm confused by how it is even possible that Ferrari used 2 extra sets of tyres to be honest.
I don't think it was malicious as it's too evident to be a real attempt at cheating, but how has nobody in the team noticed it?

I feel for Giovinazzi, who really showed his value across the weekend.
