Emerson Fittipaldi walking past on the left of the picture?

Most probably, yes. Bardahl and Varga were sponsors of the Fittipaldi brothers since the beginning of their careers in Brazil. And Wilson (deceased some days ago, RIP) did not take part in that race. Here is Emmo with what could be the same overalls.

Thank you all for another great countdown thread, it’s again been the best place on the forum during the winter break. I’ll sign out with two time Targa Florio winner Herbert Müller, who won the Interserie with his own team for three consecutive years from 1974 - 1976. He did it two times in a Porsche 917/30, the first time in the Martini Racing liveried car carrying number 0. See you all next year, have a great race season!

Won Dakar Rally 2024

Sure?

I love Loeb, but his mechanical problems in the penultimate stage this year prevented him to win the dakar.....

I thought that Herbie Muller and his 917/20 would make an appearance today

So here is my last offering from 1979.   Grassroots competition with Sports 2000 competitor Janet Brise, widow of Tony Brise, who gave her some Racing School lessons after they were married.  The car is a Lola T492 which was one of the popular makes, along with Tiga SC79's in the category at this time.

More about Janet Brise here  :https://speedqueens....anet-brise.html

So thanks to everyone who took the effort to dig out and post some wonderful images, it has certainly made the winter go quicker.

#0 Jody Scheckter - McLaren M23  Ford Cosworth DFV -  McLaren - 1973 Canadian Grand Prix (D.N.F.)

Before Hill, the first time a Formula one car use the #0 in a Grand Prix was the Yardley McLaren  in the 1973 Canadian GP in the hands of young Jody Schekter , he got a promising third in qualifying but he did not finish due to a collision with François Cevert (this was the last Grand Prix Cevert race, he tragically died in Watkins Glen two weeks later in U.S. Grand Prix Qualifying, and that was the last G.P. for Stewart too, for obvious reasons), at least Peter Revson won the G.P in the other McLaren.

With Ronnie Peterson ahead, #10 Reutemann between the two Mclarens of #8 Revson and #0 Scheckter an the start of Canadian GP. #1 Fittipaldi, #6 Cevert, #7 Hulme, #21 Lauda and #5 Stewart behind them.

Scheckter used #0 number in 1973 U.S. Grand Prix two weeks later, too, and if I´m not mistaken the #0 were never used again until Hill in 1993 in Kyalami ant the begining of 1993 season.

PS. Thanks all posters for this wonderful thread, as every year it was a great journey.

Thanks everyone for your great participation, efforts, knowledge and genuinely good discussions. It was a lot of fun to see al your input. And as always, we have seen so many new entries that we have never seen before. You all make this thread the best thread there is. Thanks a million times, again!

As for my last entry, it's the ALMS Deltawing entry by the David Price ran Deltawing Racing Cars Team. Here pictured at the 2013 ALMS race at.. well.. you know where!
Andy Meyrick and Katherine Legge wouldn't finish the race after starting from P15.

Car zero at latitude zero.

The Lincoln Mercury Comet of Viscount 'Kim' Mandeville, crossing the Equator during practice (hence #00) for the 1964 Safari Rally in 1964. Mandeville (who raced the real rally with #81) finished 18th.

He drove nine Safaris from 1955 to 1974, his best result being 3rd in 1968.

Thank you all for your contributions, it's been a great thread, as always.

I was pondering, should I even bother with #0 but then I remembered another ''anniversary'' themed post.

And it's because I can't forget this name as it's always there when I joke with friends about some very specific racing driver names like Will Power, Scott Speed and Dick Trickle.

It's the one and only Caca Bueno, which for a romance latin language like Romanian is damn hilarious. I mean dude... for real.

Caca Bueno, 5x Stock Car Champion, usually raced his whole career with the #0 and the 2014 Blancpain GT Sprint Series campaign was no different. This was his best campaign in his career in the top GT series from 2013 to 2015 which was together with fellow Stock Car racer and featured driver in my #73 post, Sergio Jimenez.

They drove the #0 BMW Sports Trophy Team Brasil Z4 GT3 to a solid 6th overall with 4 podiums at Nogaro, Slovakiaring and a podium sweep at Brands Hatch.

Well, we all made it a 40 glorious pages and with that, it's just a couple of hours to the Grand Prix.

This is by far my favorite thread on the whole forum, and anywhere online. The sheer knowledge and passion displayed here and the comradery between racers of all ages and disciplines is phenomenal.

Y'all are terrific, guys and gals and I want to thank each and every one of you for another wonderful time here. It makes every Winter better and much more fun.

I'll keep revisiting this thread ( like the previous ones ) from time to time to learn from your great posts and I'm eagerly awaiting the next one in December.

'till then, see y'all through the Forums  Cheers

Thanks for these super pics. At that time, as a young fan In South Africa, Jody's career provided a lot of joy to many of us
