Do not see this point. Steiner could be offered just as much as 1% for one year 20 mil sponsorship deal.
It is not his to offer.

Any countries that have a restriction on travel for persons with a criminal record. It's not uncommon at all.
My question were quite simple, which countries? Unless you know of one or more, it really should not be something you repeat as some sort of fact. My guess and presumption is that Gene Haas can get a visa and be allowed to visit all Grand Prixs in the calendar, I am perfectly willing to stand corrected.

He thinks he stayed at Haas for too long: https://www.formula1...WSOkUQHZ7X.html

I don't agree with Steiner.
Posted 15 March 2024 - 18:08
I do.
Posted 15 March 2024 - 18:57
Steiner is correct in this instance.
Don't miss him a bit.
Posted 15 March 2024 - 19:20
I agree he should have left, sometimes the spark goes away.
I was never keen (to say the least) of his displayed leadership style. While leading a team that continuously engineered piece of cr@p cars, he had the drivers as scapegoats and didn't lose any opportunity to throw them under the bus.
Posted 15 March 2024 - 23:12
They did not always engineered piece of crap cars. Steiner was at fault long ago for not maximizing results, he always seem not care very much for the operational quality.
Posted 15 March 2024 - 23:53
Not maximizing results is why Gene finally got rid of him.
Why throw money at a program when the guy running it isn't doing all he can with what he has?
That's called throwing good money after bad.

So what are our first impressions of Ayao?
SSF1 haven’t cut to him on the prat perch so can’t form an opinion yet.

The risk they took with the strategy in Jeddah immediately paid off. Utterly brilliant as far as I'm concerned. This is a team that will not get many opportunities for points.
If Ayao is responsible for creating a work environment where such a risk is acceptable, more power to him.

This year evolution will give us some info too. But i am afraid of their tech investement.

The car doesn't look too shabby either, it's definetely not the last of the pack anymore - so, if he's good, he will have other opportunities to shine.
They don’t seem to start to decline until after a few races. Mostly they start well for their stature but soon everyone else get better while they can’t upgrade or even solve the issues with tires and suspension. If they keep the tire thing sorted even if they don’t make too many upgrades they should get some points and not finish dead last.

Too early to judge until the summer break to be honest.

Some rumours from Japan (as-web.jp) that Steiner is looking to buy RB with a group of investors.
Same as with the rumoured Alpine for sale, Red bull would also have some conditions for potential buyers
- they have to run and pay for the Powertrains engine till at least 2030.
- they have to use and pay for the Red Bull windtunnel till at least 2030.
- they have to run at least one Red Bull (junior) driver.

I would be VERY surprised if this came to be.

I hope it does come to be, though. I like the idea of polite conversation between Steiner and Marko.

And people in hell want ice water but stranger things have happened. It relieves Red Bull from the stickiness of having two teams when/if a 10 team cap is voted on. They may make more money in the end by selling them tunnel time and engine leases as well as using it for a training seat. The number that matters is what is brought in after operations cost. I’d reckon they at least break even if not make a bit. Let’s see if Capt. Fook Slam can get the billion plus purchase price and whatever they need for the first year. Ripe opportunity for the Emirates or KSA.

Everyone will heap praise on him and say how much better he is with these recent results. Reality is, Stiener had a hand in this years results. It was still his program over winter. Next year and 2026 is when Ayao will be judged. He will be the one juggling sponsors and drivers.
