Still two hours to go of the 4th round of 6 of the ELMS season at the one and only Spa-Francochamps.
Great weekend for GTs this one with races at Spa, Magny Cours and Virginia Raceway.

DTM on Sachsenring this weekend. Contrary to my expectations, I enjoy the GT3 era quite a lot when I got used to it. I don't remember the series being so much fun.

Watching now there are literally under 100 people in the grandstands…..the series is entirely funded by the gentleman drivers?

Perhaps - I honestly thought that the race was today - but if you all are Race starved this weekend you can watch the replay below and also skip the boring parts courtesy of Youtube:
Would like to see this final round of Intercontinental GT be on a different North American circuit perhaps ? It was just two weeks ago when we had IMSA here.

Dont know. But there is usually more spectators at an average round of GT America. I dont know why so few decided to show up at Indy.
The manufactures at least bothers to send their factory drivers

Again, I blame that IMSA was just there 2 weeks prior.
I'd go for IMSA any day of the week, so someone should look at the calendar better or communicate together with Indianapolis Motorspeedway to see how to maximize their returns.

Indy road course is my least favorite racetrack in the United States. It is even worse than the painted parking lot in Miami. Perhaps I am not alone in this thinking...

You've just reminded me that the old FIA GT series raced at Homestead.

Pretty interesting race considering they've been 30 minutes behind the SC.

Saw this thread and was reminded of this post on DSC that's always fun to look back on... chronological photos of every homologated GT3 racer going back to the very beginning of the class in 2006-
https://www.dailyspo...ctures-2-2.html
Funny to remember that the Mustang has actually already been homologated on 2 different occasions before this current car, and both by Multimatic as well. Also, completely forgot about the Morgan and the attempt at a Camaro by Reiter Engineering. You can literally see the costs and development in the class ballooning as you move towards the current day.

Race 2 and last Sprint race of the season is getting underway right now at Barcelona.

#126

Well that was more straightforward.
The #48 Mercedes of Engel and Auer win the Sprint title but iirc the overall one is still open. And that will conclude with the late November Endurance round at... *checks papers* Jeddah. Ah yes, of course.

Last round and title deciding time in the ELMS at Algarve is starting in 15 minutes from the time of posting:
AO are favorites to win LMP2, but you never know, as LMP3 is extremely close with just 2 points separating the Top 3 and even closer in the GTs with the Top 2 tied on points, so winner takes all.
