For the last couple of months, I – along with my friend and fellow writer, Kevin Guthrie – have been working closely with Bob Evans on his autobiography, Happy Lucky Days. The book is now available on our new website, www.bhp-publishing.co.uk. Bob’s writing style is highly engaging and he provides a thoroughly entertaining account of his long and varied career. Highlights include his memories of driving for Alan McKechnie (with whom he won the 1974 European F5000 title), working for Louis Stanley and Colin Chapman, plus his involvement with Dome and the Aston Martin Nimrod programme.
The book itself runs to 196 pages (softback, 270x210mm portrait) and contains over 200 images, many from Bob’s personal collection. It is printed on high-quality 150gsm silk paper and priced at £32 (plus postage). Like all our books will be, Happy Lucky Days is designed and printed in Great Britain. We can currently offer copies signed by Bob (in purple ink of course!) at no extra cost. The Foreword is by Bob’s close friend, Andrew Marriott.
