In terms of consistent, mind-blowing performance, Verstappen is on another galaxy compared to Hamilton, who even in his prime had a hefty number of "off" days and bad performances. I mean, he lost a championship to Rosberg

Max's equal is Michael IMHO and Senna. Although I think Michael and Ayrton are more ruthless. Especially Ayrton.

A few of you have mentioned several valid points and it’s the case in a few other sports becoming too predictable because of technology and systems etc.

In F1 the biggest issues are how restrictive everything is currently; tyres(can’t be pushed consistently) meaning lap time deltas, 4 PUs have to last 24 races so they’ll have a certain level of management factored into them, tracks without any punishments for any mistakes like before(gravel traps, grass etc), parc ferme(it has run its course) and lastly the inability of F1 and Liberty to recognise these glaring issues and carry out effective changes, Bernie wouldn’t have hesitated I’m sure.

I agree Bernie would have done something crazy for sure. He always did.

Now we have a cost cap there really isn't any reason they can't relax the regs a bit.

This current formula is just doing what previous ones did before. Its locking in the advantages and teams can't catch up because they can't invest as much.

Relaxing the regs provides more opportunity for a team to find a big performance development.

Max could win every single race this year and while he and red bull would absolutely deserve it, people will switch off, especially im the summer season and that causes a bit of a headache for liberty.

At least in merc dominant years there was a challenge from rosberg or ferrari (17 and 18).

Max has zero competition because perez is nowhere. In vettel years people did switch off because he didn't have a challenger either. Max is likely to be the most dominant champion ever. And fair play. As a lewis fan I can't help but recognise and applaud Maxs excellence.

That was a race? LMAO. That's just continuation of a circus from last year.

It certainly is and I don’t know how they solve it.

If Bernie was still in charge what rule change would he cook up with Max to erode the advantage of Red Bull.

Can Liberty be shame faced enough (and the teams) to find some way to declare a concept on the Red Bull against the spirit of the rules?

They could have lobbied FIA to properly punish them for making a mockery of their cost cap rules?

For one? Like actually punish them for the rule they broke?

Once that precedent was set the other teams should’ve said F it and just spent beyond the cost cap. I only look forward to qualifying nowadays, that’s the only exciting part of the weekend and has been for quite a long time.

The need to discredit Hamiilton never ends

Don't know what people were expecting for the 1st race when no major changes happened.

For me, race was actually good, there was battle for 2nd to 5th up to lap 19th, including 1st round of pit stops, this was 1/3 of the race.
Then we had the 2nd round of pit stops and some minor action from lap 30th to 40th.

There was no battle for 1st because the pair Red Bull & Verstappen is really on high from a long time (Simply Lovely), no off days for them.
But Carlos (dotd), Russell, Perez and Leclerc gave us a good race.
Would have been better if McLaren guys and Lewis had a better day.

Kinda lost amidst all the VCARB saga but Zhou had a superb race in probably the 9th fastest car. People who didn't watch F2 thought Alfa was in for the chinese sponsors money but time and time again he has proven his quality and consistently beating Bottas

20 mins til lights out. So excited for this one.

It’s funny, I dreamt that I already saw the race and it was boring as ****. Hardly any overtakes and Max walks it by half a lap without trying. lol.

Enjoy folks
