Re Autosport: That's a generous score for Stroll

Re AMUS: Stroll not worst? Can't say I agree. Nice story for Zhou. As good as Bottas? Nope. Magnussen (through gritted teeth) also too high a score.

Re The Race: Usual gripe. Straw is controversial for controversiality's sake. Norris was the star peformer. And if you believe Verstappen is, I accept that. But Norris only third? Yes, he hung out too long with Lewis. The rest of his weekend was a 10.

I also dont understand why the Ferrari boys are so high with the Race...

AMUS definitely has some kind of "always rate Sargeant last no matter what anyone else does" challenge going on.

The Race - Edd Straw's Chinese GP driver rankings

(race weekend performance)

1st - Verstappen

2nd - Leclerc

3rd - Norris

4th - Sainz

5th - Hulkenberg

6th - Russell

7th - Gasly

8th - Ocon

9th - Hamilton

10th - Albon

11th - Alonso

12th - Perez

13th - Bottas

14th - Ricciardo

15th - Piastri

16th - Zhou

17th - Magnussen

18th - Sargeant

19th - Tsunoda

20th - Stroll

Edd's justification for Gasly ahead of Ocon was because Ocon had the upgrades and Gasly didn't, completely ignoring the fact that Ocon outperformed Gasly in every session except sprint qualifying. (As he has done all season so far regardless of upgrades)

Automated top half rating for Alex Albon cause he’s always free for interviews. Also known as the Paul Di Resta approach.

Harsh on Perez. He didn't crash. Finished on podium in all races. Qualified 2nd for the GP. It wasn't "out of this world", but a 5?  unserious

Without the SC's, he would probably be gapped by 35-40s. And he didn't finish 2nd in either Sprint or Race.

Not more than 6. He had a car capable of finishing P2 easily in both races and failed to do so.

He made a huge mistake in sprint quali in the last corner losing 2s and therefore P2. Couldn't overtake slower cars in the sprint races which didn't allow him to reach Hamilton and was overperformed by Norris in a slower car in the main race.

Nobody was overtaking in DRS trains.

In the main race he was not stellar, but also unlucky with the SC

he wouldn't have been gapped that much.

Without the SC he wouldn't have messed his tyres having to overtake cars. Unable to follow in S2 through the fast corners (so sliding them around) wrecked his tyres. He had to overtake at the end of S1 non DRS
