Can anyone please cast light on the involvement of Richard Oaten Racing in supporting Lella Lombardi's abortive attempt to contest the 1974 United States GP with Frank Williams? I know exactly what happened (or what didn't happen!) as far as the race is concerned; it's the sponsorship side I am interested in.

Count Gughi Zanon was supporting her (hence the Lavazza branding on the car) but I've also seen a reference to her one-off drive being part funded by Oaten, who also backed Lella's sometime team-mate Ian Ashley when they were partnered in Jackie Epstein's F5000 ShellSport Luxembourg squad in 1974.

Any clarification as to Lella's involvement with Richard Oaten Racing would be much appreciated (and receives a credit in her forthcoming biography ;) ).

I thought it was more a Williams deal rather than just sponsoring Lombardi for the 1975 Watkins Glen event. Laffite carried the same decals from Austria onwards. I have attached a few images below.

Thanks - might just be as simple as that!
