I anticipated a cry of anguish, building up over many years, at the horror of being stuck on the (insert road number as applicable) behind slow-moving Austin Allegros and caravans when all you're trying to do is reach the race track without dropping below 85mph.

I'm used to things being done the other way round. You explain what you mean and how you intend to achieve it and then I decide whether I agree. It is unclear whether you are campaigning against mobile chicanes on circuit, on the road, or are attempting to revive the Lord's Day Observance Society.  If its the latter you're on the wrong forum.

I assume you are referring to circuit racing and its ’etiquette’?

Sounds interesting.
Please do explain further….

Many years ago we had some "graffiti" wallpaper in a small downstairs toilet.

My favourite was "Be alert. Your country needs lerts" !

Not sure it's trolling: not really sure what it is. No doubt we'll soon find out we've bought a time share in Magaluf.

Charitably, I suspect that here it's simply a question of age...

It's hard to work that out, Doug...

A join date in 2011, talk about his father's views on 1950s events, and then this difficult statement:

Then there's the 13-year gap between his first burst of posts and the current one.

"Looping Pardon" might possibly involve spinning (or even rolling) at Prescott Hillclimb, but that's a bit of a long shot.

It would be nice to have confirmation (or denial) of that, Tony...

I wonder if the OP is going to return to explain things?

I've posted whilst drunk a couple of times too, but always gone back to edit or delete as necessary.

My favourite was on the urinal wall of Tuttons in Covent Garden:

"Life is like a sh*t sandwich, the more bread you've got, the less sh*t you taste..."

My absolute favourite, in the paddock loos at Spa (and in English too): "Don't beam me up Scotty, I'm having a shi................." (but with a vertical line extending from the final letter).

I like to think we are spreading our unique sense of humour worldwide.
