Thanks for alerting us to this - I would certainly like to get a copy. I've tried to pre-order/reserve, but the publisher's website functionality isn't currently enabling this.
This is proving to be a good year for Can-Am maniacs like me, still high from the sight and sounds of the Shadows at Goodwood. Fifty-odd years has been a long time to wait, but further coverage of that wonderful pre-917/30 era is very welcome in 2024.

Interesting that it's coming out through University of Chicago press. Surprised that it isn't a Racemaker or Octane press title. They seem like the current US based motorsport book publishers now that David Bull is working on a more limited basis.

Futura Display. Nice.
Yes indeed - very much 'of the era.'

It's funny you should mention the Porsche dominance. I was recently reading an old Road & Track from 1969 at the beginning of the Can-Am season and the author stated in the article how he wasn't sure how Can-Am would survive another year of McLaren dominance.Fifty-odd years has been a long time to wait, but further coverage of that wonderful pre-917/30 era is very welcome in 2024.

Saw a Facebook post regarding the new book. Supposedly many pictures are mis-identified.
