GPL is a silly game, not a sim !!!

GP3 is the only real sim in the world.
Nintendo and GPL is the same.

I got my copy of the game few months ago. Still did not have time to update it with all the stuff from the web. All I can say is that I tried that few times and I found that so f***** difficult :) . But I might be spoiled by GP2 and GP3 were I was WDC so quickly...

How much time did you guys need to profess at GPL?

KKK With a user name like that I assume you are a dribbling imbecile so I'll excuse your ridiculous statement

Gemini it took me over a year to get a negative GPLRank :o

I don't know about others, but I'm still learning. I've heard you needn't be too ashamed if it takes 6 months to maybe a year to become truely proficient at it (i.e. negative rank, winning on-line races). Really, I've been playing GPL since February of this year and I still suck compared to most (GPLRank 25, but dropping). Of course, I did switch to a wheel/pedal combination one month ago, which made it a whole new sim as I had to learn it all over again, except for track-knowledge.

But once you start, you're hooked.;)

whats the gpl rank???

I tried the game for the first time about a year ago, but it kept exiting every 10 minutes so I uninstalled it after only a few days.

Under a week ago I got the d3d patch and I love it. I'm improving pretty fast, got down to the 1:30's in monza now=)

Depends what class of car you are driving. I'm assuming you are using the F1 cars rather than the trainer (F2/F3) cars - so put F1.

Spoken like someone who's never been able to grasp the complexity of driving a late 60's F1 machine. GP3 is crap....the wet weather effects are not even enough to keep me playing this game. Graphically it's a bore as well.

GPL tends to weed out the real race sim drivers from the wankers. KKK...you are no race *sim* driver.

going under 1:30:00 at monza is proving a bit difficult, I've had a 1:30:01, 1:30:08, and a 1:30:03, but never under!!!! I like driving around 1:30's though, 'cause thats where a lot of other drivers on vroc seem to be, so its a lot of fun=)

At one point I was actually in the top 3/4 of the field  then the computer crashed, I started piddling with MP3s instead of racing, and now I'm back to square 1 (of course I lost all my setups too...

Well, 100cc my best at Monza is a 1:30.00  and I hate it too... It's weird that I can't get under 1.30 at Monza, but have no problems doing 1.23's at Mosport or 1.29's at Monaco...

w00t.

I thought I was doing terribly at Monza with my Lotus. I've raced it perhaps a dozen times and my best time is 1:37... i thought I was at least 20 sec off the pace but it seems I've underestimated myself. when I did a sub 1:40 i jumped around my room and yelled at the top of my voice.

Am I a llama or what???? hahaha
