Sad to report Peter Morley (the one from Belgium) passed away unexpectedly recently. He would post on here and other groups regularly he was very knowledgeable as well as being a thoroughly nice Gentleman.

RIP Peter

Oh my - this tragic news is a great shock.  He was always so helpful and so ready to share his hands-on knowledge of the many assorted competition c ars with which he was involved.

RIP Peter - indeed...and sincere condolences to his family and friends...

Very shocked to read this. He was a great contributor to historic racing and to this forum. Sincere condolences to his family and friends.

That's terrible news, enjoyed many telephone chats over racing matters. One of the great enthusiasts and far too young to leave us.

So sorry to hear this.

I can't claim to have known him, but we had met and spoken several times. A true gentleman, in every sense.

Rev in Peace Peter.

I am sorry to hear of Peter’s passing. Knowing him essentially via TNF and various e mails etc, I was pleased to meet him some years ago at one of the Revivals when he was there with one of his cars. Talking to him in what was a very convenient gap in his programme, I found myself enjoying his company for  over an hour, not long in the grand plan of things, but he was so willing to cover all sorts of topics, who had what, after or before whom, where they went etc., - think Shannon and the like, not always mainstream stuff, and particularly within Europe, and we covered a lot of ground in one of those expansive/expanding conversations, leaving me feeling I had known him for years.  I was directed to be sure to e mail him about “stuff”, which I did.
Peter was one of those mines of information which can only be garnered over many years, and will be a loss to our sport and its history.

Roger Lund.

In fact his passing happened as early as two months ago, i.e. on June 7th.
