A very practical question I am afraid. I have two tickets for next Frday for the " classic" at Silverstone but can only get in if they are showing with a QR code on my smartphone thanks to Silverstone's digtal obsessions.

I have used the. app.  fine before but it is now  just four days away and the app. says " not yet activated" so as of now we can't go.

Have other peoploe going to Sivlerstne had their app tickets activated? . If the app show a QR code against the ticket it is activated as that is what the security people  scan to let you in.

If I am alone I need to contact Silverstone quickly so any help would be very much apreciated

Thank you

Don't worry . The app worked perfectly last year - better than their rubbish e-tickets. Just wait and the thing will activate early on the day of use. I was very sceptical about the app as I've  twice had e-tickets either not  even be recognised or have the wrong information when read - I was told at the GP in 2022 that I was at the wrong entrance gate (and had to go to one about 3miles away!) . Cue meltdown from me - my ticket wasn't gate specific . The app is a big improvement , really .

I also believe the app to be a great improvement and have certainly no issues in tickets not being activated on time.

If it's a similar app to the one used for the Paris olympics, then it will activate the QR code earliest on the eve of the d-day .... did it for me at least ( for the team horse jumping, to watch the Brits win .... ) . A bit nerve racking but it did work eventually.
