I disagree with that. It's harder to tell a story when you have random winners all season long.  There is no Hakkinen vs Schumacher, Senna vs Prost, Hamilton vs Verstappen, Verstappen vs Norris, when the season is one big free for all.   I think a good F1 season just needs 2 or 3 main protagonist.

You can have two or three title protagonists while having multiple winners. It just requires paying a bit more attention.

I urge people to watch the 2008 Italian Grand Prix, or the 2008 British Grand Prix sometime soon whilst Brazil is still fresh in memory.

Full wet races, no DRS, can get a pretty good comparison for the quality of cars and racing between the seasons. These cars are just horrible to watch.

It’ll amaze you how bad the F1 product is today

If you want a comparison without refuelling, watch China 2010 and you’ll notice the exact same thing.

DRS masks all the bad qualities these cars have in the dry, but in the wet it gets horribly exposed.

2026 looks beyond horrible, because the removal of DRS with a weaker ERS button

You can't cherry pick a couple of races and say that it was better.
I've been watching since like 1997 and the average race now is the most exciting it has ever been. The races is the 2000's were boring as hell.
