An odd plus "Not remotely over-firm or over-endowed with grip"

Old beach buggies were light and with fairly tall tyres rolled over the bumps as well as sand.

An EV beach buggy carting around an EV battery is no longer light and the low profile tyres will get you bogged quickly

Why are adolescent males (of all ages) so beguiled by impractical ground clearance aka slammed "stance", painted-on tires that can't really do their job, and having ~zero available suspension travel? All three of these are stupid and miserable to live with, yet are universally obsessed over in the adolescent male (of all ages) demographic. Extra stupid-points for hitting the trifecta on a "dune buggy".

It's a totally different kind of electric beach buggy, but the electric Mini-Moke recreation seems to be popular.

That is, if the number of used examples that turn up on Bring A Trailer is any indication.

Because it's the opposite of what an old person would do.
