A friend owned this car for many years and rebuilt it in his own style--It is for sale in Vancouver, Canada--I have no connection apart from that mentioned and know nothing of the condition of this car.

I saw it at a car show on Vancouver Island not so very long ago. Took some photographs.
It was well looked after at that time.
Per Tom Johnston in 2012:
"Chassis number [SR-3]
In the 1960s, Edmonton racer Don
Burfoot somehow got his hands on this
chassis, one of the three Scirocco
Formula One cars built for the 1500 cc
regulations. The car came without the
originally intended BRM V8 motor.
Burfoot installed a General Motors BOP
aluminum V8 with a Corvair gearbox
and raced the car at the then new
Edmonton International Speedway.
Some thirty odd years later
Vancouver motor sport historian Ralph
Zbarsky was made aware of an
advertisement that appeared in an
Edmonton newspaper offering a used
Formula One car for sale. It had been
sitting outside on a farm for a very long
time. Zbarsky brought it to Vancouver and
sold it to Dave Trueman who is
restoring it in his shop in Delta near
Vancouver."
Car ran #64 Don Burfoot at MacDonald, Manitoba, National Championship Races, 1-2 July 1967, 9th in 3rd race, 14th in 6th race.
In 1968 Burfoot was a member of the Northern Alberta Sports Car Club.
Entered #2, Race 2, at Klondike Trail 200, Can-Am series event, Speedway Park, Edmonton, Alberta, 29 September 1968.
