I am struggling to discover what happened to former Lord of Lydden Martyn Ashwood. Is he still with us and does anyone have contact details for him. His town might even be of help, thank you.

Martyn raced with the East Grinstead club in 1970. So he probably came from that part of the world.
A quick google search provides several links to Martyn. For example in 2012 one of the bikes he built was sold at Bonhams and he inspected it before the sale.

There are 6 Martyn Ashwoods on 192.co.uk
I'd take a guess at the one living in Redhill - in 2004- would be him.

An uncommon name... Birth Index shows just two MartYns and one MartIn.
One (Martyn P) born, married and living in West Brom (till 2014 at least).
Martin R, born 1952 Essex. Too young to be a biker in 1966. I believe he is the one who lived in Redhill.
Which leaves Martyn (1940). There was an Estate Agency in Tunbridge Wells in late 1960s, Managing Director Martyn Ashwood.
Two marriages, 1963 Surrey, 1972 Tonbridge (to Jennifer), a son Nicholas. A motoring offence in Tonbridge in 1973 when he was living near Edenbridge.
If we now look at electoral registers, we find Martyn, Jennifer and Nicholas at Weymouth 2003-7. We then find the same trio at two addresses in Wareham up to 2015.

The *1940* Martyn Ashwood was a director of a company in Weymouth.
Info in the Filing History, where he was appointed in 2011 and left in 2015. Documents show his home address.
The house below was sold in 2013. I doubt if Martyn Ashwood or his family will be there now.

I should have said, the Facebook page has a photo of Martyn in leathers and helmet, taken on his 80th birthday in 2020.
It's obviously the right person.
