I don't pay the slightest attention to polls and very seldom vote, but I don't see any reason for scraping them. I think they have a positive point, though: it's a good way to start a thread and keep the discussion in line.

But if we didn't make cheap and stupid polls, how would I have ever found out that majority here actually think Abu Dhabi isn't the worst race (TBH this was the biggest racing related shock of last year)

Or one my overly long polls where I asked which of you were intending to watch random local Porsche Carrera Cup race at Jeddah that wasn't even televised

There are way too many polls on this forum.
They mitigate against discussion because people can just click a box rather than explain them position.
The results are meaningless in any case.
I say get rid, and let’s talk about stuff instead.
Did you just create a paradox?

Indeed, 1 unreliable poll to rules them all..would have been tiny teeny bit better without a poll 🙃Did you just create a paradox?
Seriously If the mood seemingly changes after say a couple of years how would we know If its genuin change?

I appreciate polls because they show all the time most posters by and large agree and are reasonable. While if you look at the threads hanging under a poll one could get the opposite impression.
