If the FIA were being as strict as they were in 1994, they could ban Max for two races and that should close things up. Then if he collided with a championship contender, disqualify him like Schumacher in 1997.

Those bans in 1994 were very strange IMHO.

The frustrating thing with Max is that he doesn’t need to drive like that, when he’s already that good and in such a commanding position in the points. It’s completely unnecessary but seemingly part of his make-up as a driver, and has just been laying dormant while he’s been dominating.

But most great drivers have flaws.

It's clearly going to be Max. The number of points Norris has to gain every race is just far too much. It will require Max having a retirement and Norris to win to create an opportunity, and right now the reliability of these cars seem bullet proof.

He should get a big gain in Brazil so it’s still just about on, but he really needs to win Vegas and Qatar to put the pressure on in AD

Needs a couple of Norris wins with Verstappen in P5.

It’s still very much game on but it’s an absolutely admirable effort from Verstappen in the 3rd fastest car!

I think Norris will close the gap a lot next week with Maxs grid penalty.

I think Norris takes it in the end. His only rival is the two Ferraris. He managed to scare Leclerc off the road this time, and Sainz won't drive lights out like this for the rest of the season.
