Racing Historic Formula 1 Cars

As far as I can see, nobody races historic F1 cars from later than 1985. There are series for more modern sportscars, so if I'm right is the limiting factor not the technology, but the performance? Does anyone think there will ever be a series for post-85 cars?

There was a UK series called Boss which became EuroBoss now just run in Europe called Boss GP. 

Boss started in 1995 and ran in that form with tweeks until 2010.

There was a story about this fairly recently. The FIA has permitted cars from 1991-2000 to compete in historic competition from next year.

I guess we might see something for those cars at an event like the Silverstone Festival in future. Imagine it'll be quite a noisy race though!  :lol:
